RAMROD Stories: The 2016 Jersey Design

A quick look into the concept and design of this year's event jersey

In 2016, the National Park Service is celebrating its founding and centennial birthday with a year-long celebration. When we sat down to explore ideas, the service's milestone quickly rose to the top to become the basis for our RAMROD event jersey.

The National Park Service was created on August 25th, 1916

Classic Travel Posters
To embrace this milestone and reflect the hundred year history of the National Park Service, we decided to reach back to the historic National Park travel posters from the 20s and 30s as our central motif this year. We referred to these posters for their stylized content as well as their classic color themes for the 2016 jersey. On the jersey's back central pocket, we showcase the National Park Service's Centennial celebration framed by evergreen trees.

A major portion of our iconic, beautiful ride utilizes the Rainier National Park roads and amenities, this reference pays homage to the privilege of riding through this spectacular scenery and the foresight of our politicians to set aside these natural wonders for us to enjoy.
